Basque child refugee commemoration event

The Special Collections, Hartley Library, University of Southampton, is the home of Basque child refugee archives. The Special Collections has organised an afternoon of events to mark the 85th anniversary of the arrival of the child refugees in Southampton.
1500: Panel discussion featuring Professor Tom Buchanan, University of Oxford, Professor Tony Kushner, Dr Jennifer Craig Norton and Dr Scott Soo of the University of Southampton.
1630: Private view of exhibition of copies of material from the Basque child refugee archive , together with original works by the artist Maite Pinto.
The panel discussion is in Room 1081 in building 6 (Nuffield Theatre building next to the Highfield Interchange) and the exhibition is in the Level 4 Gallery of the Hartley Library on the other side of the University Road, Highfield Campus.
