Imaging & Microscopy Centre
The Imaging and Microscopy Centre (IMC) is a core facility specialising in light microscopy applications, in particular confocal and multiphoton microscopy. Its equipment allows to combine confocal and widefield fluorescence microscopy with electrophysiology. IMC is inter-linked with the Institute for Life Sciences with which it co-operates in providing specialist imaging applications and imaging expertise. The Centre has an open access policy for internal and external users and offers training courses as well as one-to-one training sessions for operating its equipment. The IMC space comprises containment level (CL) 1 and 2 areas, including a CL 2 preparation room, and is managed by Mark Willett (facility manager) according to a local code of practice
